eCyInspector Wordpress Security Plugin Setup

eCyLabs Security Center provides a simple Wordpress plugin to protect Wordpress applications from security threats, this can be installed from the WordPress plugin store.

To get started exploring eCy Inspector,

Go to wordpress plugin store > Install and activate pugin eCyInspector.

1. Select the eCyInspector from the side menu.

2. If you are not registered with eCyLabs security center, click on the

    registration link.

eCyLabs security center provides you powerful and efficient way to manage the security of many applications via a single interface.

Click the registration link > select the pricing plan.

1. Submit your business email for the verification.

2. You will receive a eCylabs registration email with registration link attached to it.

3. Click the link, fill out the registration form and submit the form.

4. After submitting the form you will receive an email with login credentials and 

    login url attached to it.

5. Login to the url, apply the credentials and will be notified to reset the 

    password.

6. After resetting the password you will be automatically logged out and you 

    need to re-login to the security center with an updated password

7. You will be logged into the Application on board page.

First you need to onboard a domain to your account and verify. After you verify that you own your domain, you can start using eCyLabs Scan Profiles for the Security Assessment.

1. Enter your application name, URL and click the next button. 

2. Complete your verification process by Upload Verification File to Server or Code in page.

Activating the API allows your WordPress account to connect to security center.

Go to " My Account" > "Enable API"> "Copy the generated key"  you will find below.

1. Go to eCyInspector and submit the API key

2. Once the connection is activated between the plugin and eCylabs 

    Security Center the Wordpress plugin will open the dashboard.

3. This dashboard provides a summary of total security issues, number

    of critical security issues, high severity issues, medium severity issues, 

    and low severity issues. 

4. Click the view detailed report button to download detailed report. 

5. To update the application update the API key and click the sync button.
